Sometimes I think it is better to be lucky than good.The pic to the left happened while I was walking along a trail. 

But there are other ways you can get close without a ton of expensive gear.

Many of today's point n shoot cameras come with many features more expensive cameras had years ago.  One feature is crop in camera. This is a highly useful option. Sometimes the current lens just cannot get you close enough. Well you can crop the picture in camera if your camera allows it. Sometimes this is not available so you need to do something else.

The best I can hope for is to update the site fairly regularly. Sometimes life gets in our way. The last couple of months is not any different.  I played some computer games to relax for a bit.

Went on to shoot the flooding happening here, which btw you can see in the gallery. Which occupied us for a couple of weeks.  More storms, it sure was stormy here for June.

Then the 4th arrived again requiring the obligatory shooting of the fireworks and parades.
